According to a recent article by the Associated Press Health and Science Department, childhood obesity continues to be a growing problem for a significant number of children and adolescents.

The Center for Disease Control reports that the incidence has spiked significantly in the last decade. It's increased from 15.4% of kids ages 2-19 in 2005-2006 to 19.4% of children in 2017-2018.

This tendency poses significant health risks for young people now and into the future as they become adults..

Color Me Fit uses games, activities and original cartoon characters created by my coauthor and graphic artist, Vivien Well, to cover key topics in nutrition and fitness

There are many books on the topic targeted to adults,. but few that speak to the kids.

Color Me Fit enables young people to make informed choices. Its interactive format creates an opportunity for children and families to formulate nutrition and fitness goals together.

Color Me fit: Nutrition and Fitness for Kids encourages children to focus on healthy eating habits and an active lifestyle as they grow.
